2007 PANTHERS MINI INVITATIONAL

August 26, 2007 -- In the first ever Panthers run tournament, the planets were aligned just right for the Panthers. After starting the day with a 1-2 record in pool play they went on to upset an older Yonkers Bengals team 14-7 in the playoffs to set up the championship game against the Bergen Broncos. The Panthers and the Bergen Broncos have played each other in the past and every game has been a battle to the end. In Sunday's match, the Panthers finished on top 33-31 capping a great finish to a poor start.

The day was filled with action packed games. The surprise of the event was the performance of the youngsters from North Penn. They gave their older competition a touch match in every game.

In the end, all the boys, the parents & fans watching, and the coaches had a fun filled day. All the boys received a trophy and a t-shirt as a token of their participation.

"All the teams performed well today. Any one of these teams could have won the whole thing. We just to put it together at the right time. It was a fun day for all.", said Eddie Roscigno, Panthers coach.
